Why the Pill and Bar ??

THE PILL

According to Oxford dictionary,a Pill is a small round mass of solid medicine for swallowing whole. Other synonyms for the term Pill  are Tablets, Pharmaceutical formulations, Capsule,Pellet, Lozenge, Pastille. But each formulation differs by structure or the state of formulation. 

Broadly, the pharmaceutical formulations are classified as :

1) Solid dosage forms

2) Liquid dosage forms

3) Gaseous dosage forms

A formulation to be sent out to the market for end users, requires to pass through various conditions, legal rules and regulations. Each stage in the preparation of formulations are very important and evaluation of each phase reflects the actual purpose of the formulation.

For a tablet to be produced in the market, it has to be formulated in various forms starting from the chemical nature, chemical structure to formulation of the dosage forms under the principles of Pharmaceutics with the usage of instruments and equipment as described in Pharmaceutical Engineering. Thus formed dosage form is sent for analysis to test for its safety and efficacy.Such safe drugs are then sent for Clinical trials to confirm the degree of  safety of drug in Human beings.

Those drugs that passes all the Clinical phases are then sent for Packaging units for Packing and Storing of drugs.

The Pill in the Blog therefore describes all the above processes and concepts.

THE BAR

According to Legal dictionary, Bar is the area in a court of law separating the part reserved for the bench and Queen's Counsel from the area occupied by junior barristers, solicitors and the general public. It also defines Bar is a place in a court of law where the accused stands during his trial.

Therefore, for everything to be harmonious in nature, it is important to have certain rules and regulations. Violating to those affixed rules and regulations causes disturbance to the persons involved and to the society as a whole. The concept of law also has various branches in it. The rules and regulations, the definitions of terms within the purview of law and the punishments to the violation of such rules and regulations are brought together at a place named as Act, which contains Sections in it.Sections in return contains sub - sections and clauses.

Various amendments are being brought in timely manner in accordance to the current socio  -economic and political scenarios.

The Bar in the Blog therefore gives about various aspects of Legal terms and laws.

THE PILL AND BAR

Pills needs to follow the set rules and regulations by the Bar. Right from breach of contracts to the negligence in administration of drugs to the violations of rules in the manufacturing, storing, packaging, inventory, there requires a lot of effort in bringing suitable balance between the most vital fields of Law and Health care systems. There is always a conflicting situation as Health care industry works on empathy, whereas the  legalities function on the set guidelines in general which are equal to any person defined under law. 

The Pill and Bar, therefore in the describes the connectivity with the empathy and ethics of a given situation and persons or institution involved as a whole for a better and harmonious society.
